Before anyone orders code, we write down two things. The glossary defines five words: customer, order, case, product and project. Each department says what the word means to it, and the business agrees one definition. The process description covers how the work runs today (as-is), how it should run (to-be), and where intelligence goes in it.
Together they are the specification the code agent builds from. We also train the business to build its own tools from it, the way people once learned Excel.
